Arrgh the light in my room blew. yesterday. Thus I am typing this from the glow of a portable lamp. Its too damn freaking bright but doesnt light up the damned room. life sucks that way.
During morning assembly today I heard it again. Apparently a few days ago someone thought it would be fun, not only to sing the national anthem but also imitate the sound effects e.g. the cymbals and trumpets. After "tolerating" it for one day, meaning I glared at the offending person, I freaking went right up to him and told him to stop it. However some other bitches from his class decided to do it today. I knew it wasn't him. He was kinda way back. But I freaking heard them imitate the cymbals. I swear I'll throttle them if I hear it again tomorrow, and I find out who they are.
I mean goddammit its our freaking National Anthem, show your own freaking country, and the very least MY country or some respect. WTF, you wouldn't mock the star spangled banner in front of an American would you? Freak.
Not to mention, its isn't even funny, though obviously the people who did it thought it was, yeah people were laughing. The only other time I encountered such retardedness and stupidity was in sec1 when Chiraag did the exact same thing. Lets not get started on whats up with Chiraag.
Maybe I'm overly patriotic or something. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I can appreciate this country more after living around 8 years of life across the straits in Malaysia. The only other national anthem those bitches would probably dare to mock would be China's national anthem, just because of its errr.. obvious propoganda messages. But they sure wouldn't do it in front of a Chinese national.
National day in less than a week. Patriotism just seemed to hit a new low.
Oh yeah, during SS our SS teacher asked who would volunteer to help defend Singapore in times of war if they had a choice and put their own lives at risk for the good of the nation. No one raised their hand, I would have, if not for the fact that I would have looked incredibly stupid being the only one with his hand up.

 Just another starstruck (see above for evidence*) wanderer trying to find his way in this horribly confusing and sometimes messed up world.
