I need to learn how to write better lyrics dammit. Its like writing poetry I guess, but Im aiming more for structured prose. Which is what most great songwriters can do with ease.
Just cause I can't resist take a look at Taylor Swifts songs; they cant be described as poetry most of them, but more like narratives, yet they fit the line structure perfectly almost all the time. And they are awesome narratives.

though they can sound a little forced at times like in The other side of the door and Should've said no.
But hell yeah she can write great poetry lyrics too.

Hehe she's my favourite artiste not really because of her voice, but naturally her songwriting. Her voice is solid enough to pull most of it off. And of course the amount of heart she puts into everything. You can hear it in her voice. Can't you?
