Ahhh......finally back in Singapore. With the lovely island for once feeling like the hot wet modernized tropical jungle it is. Ugh. Everyone was freezing in Japan except for me. Now, I feel like I'm baking in the heat.

I arrived back home on a 767 in the middle of 99% humidity, with two more music addictions than I started out with as well as a bunch of souveneirs from london. Mostly foodstuff. I didn't get any souveneirs from japan, I didn't get any money there.

I discovered that Ke$ha is a mad genius who writes power pop. And that PIXIE LOTT IS AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE.

And I also discovered that TAYLOR SWIFT MADE THE NEWS IN SG AGAIN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Never mind.

I also just really really recently discovered that going on a holiday does not cure insanity in any form. If anything, sitting on Emirates flight with massive entertainment accentuates it. I HAD ENTIRE MUSIC ALBUMMMSSS TOO LISSTEN TOOO OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Thus the Ke$ha and Pixie Lott addiction.

And yes, Japanese Girls wear miniskirts in the cold as well.

Everyone from my cca loved london.
I liked the trip.
But I didnt really like the city.
I found it depressing.

Mehz: This city is so depressing
Thm: Why?
Mehz: I dont know...its so DEAD!
Thm: London is more alive than Singapore..I mean on a night out there isn't anything to do, over here you can go to the theatre... and do other stuff.

I conceded defeat at that point.
but of course later we learnt that londoners didnt go to the theatre much despite their rich history of theatres.

And I guess I was right.

Have you seen pictures of London?
All the stone everywhere right?
Its not just in one place. Its EVERYWHERE.
Everything I mean EVERYTHING is in shades of grey, white, beige, brown.
And everything is so muted. The colours are muted.
The people, wear black overcoats.
Brown jackets
Grey tops.
The cars, dark green, faded black.

Everything just looked...the same.
It gets worse.
The hair.. Its a sea of blonde there.
Its like 90% of the female population have blonde hair.

Ugh. All the buildings are stone due to the great fire of london that happened like in 16 something. So they were afraid of it burning down again. So they used stone -.-
but the conformity was scary.
Twas somethihng I couldn't handle.

haha you people should have seen me in the taxi back home.
How I stared at every bright red car that flashed past, the blue of the bus stop roof, the bright intense blue, the yellow underneath it that clashed with the blue, the lime green stencil on the side of the fluorescent orange car. The white and weird green of that HDB estate. THe lush green of the grass by the road and the green signs by the roadside.

The colour and diversity here is amazing.

I realized what I was missing.

Shit I'm gonna live here forever.
