Remote viewing...... - Monday, March 8, 2010 @ 7:55 PM
I believe in a lot of stuff. A lot of weird stuff. I belive and you might too, that science cant prove everything. But there are some things that i believe science has proved, but the scientific community still hasnt accepted because they cant find a plausible explanations for them. I believe in remote viewing. er..fine this is how remote viewing works, i basically give a psychically perceptive person coordinates of a certain place, lets say paris, and he will be able to give me details about that place after a certain degree of concentration. Sounds screwed up? well kinda but it has been proven. Remote viewing was tested by the US FBI and CIA as an offshoot of the Stargate program. They were trying to use it to get intel during the cold war. It kinda failed because the results of most experiments were detailed enough to prove that it was that place, but too vague to be of much use. For example using the paris example above, the remote viewer might only be able to tell you he sees a big tall metal tower and might be able to draw a vague picture of the eiffel tower and thats it. Anyway remote viewing has not only been tested and proven by the CIA, it has also been replicated by the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Lab. Scientists generally reject remote viewing. they mostly claim that it cant be true cause theres no way to explain it.
Professor Richard Wiseman, a psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire and a fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry (CSI) has said that he agrees remote viewing has been proven using the normal standards of science, but that the bar of evidence needs to be much higher for outlandish claims that will revolutionize the world, and thus he remains unconvinced: "I agree that by the standards of any other area of science that remote viewing is proven, but begs the question: do we need higher standards of evidence when we study the paranormal? I think we do. (...) if I said that a UFO had just landed, you'd probably want a lot more evidence. Because remote viewing is such an outlandish claim that will revolutionize the world, we need overwhelming evidence before we draw any conclusions. Right now we don't have that evidence." I think he's the crazy one, not me cause we got da evidence all laid right out in front of ya but ya'll just cant bring yourself tah admit it. Why not use the normal standards of science.............dammit la, move on and start proving ghosts...... |

Im weird........I have come to that conclusion after around more than 5 years of analysis. Most people would agree with me, i guess. Maybe its my random ranting, uber split jekyll and hyde personality which btw is more like spongebob and squidward. My obsession with random stuff, my willingness to be different in a very different way, my determination or stubborness, depending how you see it. It could also be a combination of all my random quirks......like randomly over using dots, or maybe its because i wont give a shit about someone just because other people say so. Or is it just because im short? or maybe its because i live in a dysfunctional family, maybe its just because i touched a computer for the first time when i was 9, i started listening to music when im sec one or maybe because i really had no social life until like p5 and p6. Maybe.................maybe theres something wrong with the whole world and not me. Maybe not. Maybe im too nice, i should be less nice, and i should carry out all my threats about shooting/strangling/mauling/decapitating/stabbing/mutilating/disfiguring people who piss me off. Maybe as one of my classmates pointed out i should stop making so many threats. It could be because i talk too much........cause i like the "wrong" stuff, stand up for and to the "wrong" people. Maybe because i seriously think that something is wrong with this world..........dont you too. We hate each other too much.and maybe because there is. or there isnt. It would work both ways..............
Should i change myself? no way, you know i did once, and i never changed back, never could though i wanted to. Im just happy the way i am now i guess, proud of it all, proud of my weirdness. I just realized how stupid the last line sounded, but it doesnt matter.....i know who i am now...am im not gonna change me for anything. |

Just another starstruck (see above for evidence*) wanderer trying to find his way in this horribly confusing and sometimes messed up world. This space as you might have realised is for my own venting. It's where I talk, to myself. To the universe. It's where I don't lie. Much. Chances are you won't get more truth out of me than these few billion pages of angst. My life isn't that bad. Sometimes. The good parts just usually end up being the blank dates in between the posts you see. So yes, just to practice my math and to cheer myself up a little, the number of posts is inversely proportional to my mental wellbeing. Yes that counts as math with me. And despite the wry smile on my face and the grin I can imagine on yours, I'm still rather sombre. I promise you I'm sunny somedays. Stick around. You never know what you may learn. *hint may or may not be in big black font at the top of the page.
